At Badog Music (in Shrewsbury, PA), the band hosted a clinic/workshop for Rod's "Quickstart" guitar class. The clinic was titled "Quickstart LIVE," and its purpose was for us (Hip Shake) to demonstrate the use of "Quickstart" principles in a band setting. We taught the "Quickstart Guitar" class the important role that chords, melody, rhythm, and arrangement (comping) play an when playing in a band. The workshop, entitled "Songwriting 101," showed attendees how to write a song. We (the band and various attendees) even played many of the songs that our attendees came up with.
